This thesis is devoted to the discussion and design of transmission system for the railwayemergency communication systems. Currently, the railway emergency communication systemsrely only on the previous communication systems. Because of the limited bandwidth which couldcarry only small quality of business and poor transmission efficiency with low transmission rate,this cause serious impact on the emergency rescue headquarters work. Obviously, the problemsmust be solved to meet the rapidly requirement of the railway transmission, ensure the security,realize the integrated wideband access.Based on analyzing the existing railway emergency communications network and servicesituation, combine with practical requirement, the overall frame of the integrated transmissionssystems for the railway emergency communications is constructed. Also contains the service andthird grade management frame implement. Three wideband access schemes of satellite, wirelessand wire based are defined in different communication conditions on the operating environment.The design of the access equipments is implemented for the different access schemes. It achievesmainly the functions of collecting, dealing and passing various services.The focuses mainly on realizing the real time video exchange between the operatingenvironment and the rescue center by using the video techniques. The design of video-conferencesystem is achieved. The bearing platform of various services of emergency communication isbuilt up, and function designs are finished.Finally, according to the Shanghai to Nanjing railway line (referred to as the ShanghaiNanjing line) type railway emergency communication system engineering examples, the ShanghaiNanjing railway emergency communication system model design, to meet the actual needs.The proposed system is an integrated system. It can realize the integrated services includingaudio, data, and video. It could satisfy the requirements of the railway emergency for multipleservices, and it can be still used for monitoring of the railway station, goods yard, and otherindustries.
