First, this paper analyzes the development present situation in domestic and foreign about the systemof seed cotton mass measurement in cotton pipeline, and realizes the importance of this technology inagricultural production. And then, we independently do a series of experimental research on seed cottonmass online measuring system in cotton pipeline on the basis of absorbing foreign advanced technology.Experimental conditions of the system are based on indoor experimental platform of set with a completecomponent. In this article, through the improvement for the existing test bench and studying on thisexperimental platform, we establish the relation model between seed cotton mass and the flux of light. Inaddition, we have carried on an experimental verification, and make a corresponding accuracy analysis andevaluation.The content of paper mainly revolves around the following:(1)Studying the optical transmission characteristics of different types of light source, and studying theeffect on light transmissivity under different density of cotton quality, varieties of cotton fiber, humidityand environment temperature. Finally, select for suitable light source as the part of the transmitter unit.(2)Due to the different work emphasis on experiment platform in preliminary study, there is noconsideration in the design of storage module, and the precision of the weight bridge can not meet therequirements of the current research. However, we must store a large number of original data output fromthe detector and the accurate weight of cotton mass data flow through the pipeline as the source of dataanalysis. Therefore, it is necessary for measuring system to design the storage module and improve theaccuracy of load meter system.(3)Through the detection principle of related parameter of the gas-solid two phase flow and some ofthe theoretical basis about optical detection, and then, conduct analysis and study on model building ofcotton quality of the flow measurement, and it is concluded that there is a certain correlation between thequality of cotton flow and light intensity. Then make a related description about the method of dataprocessing. Finally, through experiment research and the analysis of collected data, establish the model ofcotton mass flow online measuring.(4)Using the measurement platform which was built in previous, write the established measurementmodel of cotton mass flow in the micro controller of measuring system, setting the correspondingparameters in the model and the calibration coefficient, and then, conducting an experiment. By means ofanalysis the obtained data, to test and verify the reliable of the model. Finally, make an analysis formeasurement precision.In this paper, we establish the relational model of seed cotton measurement through experimentresearch on experimental platform. Then experiment repeat for verifying, analysis a large number ofobtained related data, and receive the accuracy of measurement system. In addition, considering the design of the system also has some certain problem, in the end, I put forward a research prospect on the furtherdevelopment of system.
