The Deign And Implementation Of An OpenWrt Based Home Gateway Management System

In recent years, with the rapid development of intelligent terminal market, the demand for additional network access equipment products is increasing. The traditional terminal access devices only need to have simple access to the net-work, which has been unable to meet the needs of current complex intelligent terminal. Since2013, the domestic IT company giants such as Baidu, Alibaba,360, Xiaomi, Thunder, Lenovo, etc., plus the traditional communication compa-nies, such as Huawei, join the battle of the market of intelligent terminal network access equipment. To understand why enterprises competing in this seemingly in-significant areas, on the one hand, the fundamental reason is that companies want to control the flow entrance of end-users through hardware. Compared to soft-ware, for enterprises, it is more reliable to control user traffic entrances through hardware. On the other hand, due to the advances in hardware and software technologies, the router development is more easier. It is an opportunity for an enterprise to control end-users with low cost.This project which my paper relies on is China Telecom customized smart home gateway. The home gateway hardware platform is the company indepen-dent research and development, which is equipped the depth customization of OpenWrt-an open source embedded operating system. China Telecom specifies the use of TR-069network management protocol, and thus, this paper reviews the history of network management protocols, and compares the well known SNMP protocol with the newer TR-069protocol. Then the basic concepts and the related principles of TR-069protocol are briefly introduced. Subsequently, the current requirements are analyzed. Next, how to do the OpenWrt based secondary devel-opment is elaborated. Finally, how to realize the CPE side terminal management functionalities is explained.
