Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, mobile Internet got rapid development. In order to maintain continuity of communication of mobile nodes during the movement, it is required to design mobility management mechanism for network nodes. In order to solve the problem of mobility management, many solutions have been proposed, such as Mobile IP, PIMPv6and so on. However, for traditional network mobility management schemes, there are several limitations and problems like triangular route, overloading tunneling mechanism, poor scalability, etc. With the appearance of SDN network technology, the idea of the separation of control plane and data plane is proposed, which provides a new way to solve the problem of mobility management.This thesis proposes a SDN based mobility management scheme, specifically including the following three parts:1) a new mobility management scheme is proposed with reference to the advantages and disadvantage of traditional network mobility management schemes;2) the existing OpenFlow message is extended to support the proposed mobility management based on SDN;3) the required mobility management entities are realized through using the program in controller.Firstly, this thesis studied the existing mobility management schemes, and analyzed the design ideas and topology environment of them, based on which a mobility management scheme based on SDN is proposed, including the design of new topology and the mobility management process. Secondly, based on Ryu controller, through program, a mobility management scheme based SDN is implemented. At last, a SDN mobility management topology is built a virtual experimental environment to test the performance of the new proposed scheme, and the results show that the scheme performs well for mobility management.
