In recent years, with the development of hardware integrated circuit, embedded software and wireless transmission technology, the broadband trunking terminal communication network with the digital core is gradually replacing the analog trunking communication network and becoming the trend of development in the field of communication. Many domestic companies have been aware of the development in this field and develop so many functional productions but with relatively simple features, this cannot meet the needs of the vast majority customers. In this thesis, the design of broadband trunking terminal has the following functions: to provide users with point to point service SMS, MMS services, video calls and other functions; to provide a single point of call, professional voice cluster intercom, audio, encryption and other functions to meet customers specific requirements for communications security; to provide video capture and to do real-time high-speed backhaul through LTE4G technology and so many other functions.The thesis first introduced the history and current situation of the trunking communication technology; secondly this thesis discussed the overall design principle of NVIDIA processor hardware platform and hardware architectures for broadband trunking terminal core module in detail;discussed the design of detail circuits of broadband trunking terminal;especially elaborate the allocation of power resources and the design and supply of the entire PMU; discussed the test of the core circuits;and then introduced the testing and debugging methods of the key module; finally, the thesis summarized the work and give the follow-up to improve the work.With performance of the debugging and testing of the trial prototype terminal case, the entire hardware system was very stable, the function module was working properly, and the performance is also fully in line with the expected demand. Before the thesis goes to press, the product has been pre-produced in small quantities, the author believes that through the detailed description of this thesis, it can help the designers to quickly design related outstanding productions with reliable quality, and meet the requirements of multimedia terminal market.
