In recent years, the communication traffic between person and equipment grows higher by the day. High-capacity and long-distance are not the only demand in optical network, dynamic and flexible control becomes more and more import, which cannot be met by the existing communication mode of traditional automatic switched optical network. Software defined optical network can provide the author of resource management to each layer of network, and use software programing approach to dynamically customized and meet the diversity and complicated need. Based on the virtualization platform of software defined optical network, we can improve the operating income by using the optimized virtualization embedding algorithm and make the resource arrangement more reasonable. At last, we can maximize the common interests of both service providers and infrastructure providers.This topic studies the software defined optical network virtualization algorithm, the resource defragmentation problem, and multi-domain optical network virtualization providing method. The major contribution of this paper includes:1. As for the virtual optical network embedding and resource allocation problem in software defined optical network, two heuristic dynamic embedding algorithms (load-balancing and link-splitting) were proposed, compared to the static ILP module and random embedding algorithm. Simulation result shows that load-balancing and path-splitting virtualization embedding algorithms get higher acceptance ratio of request then random routing embedding algorithm. Meanwhile, path-splitting mapping algorithm get a13.7%improvement of spectrum utilization, which can make a better use of the fragmented resource from the physical network.2. In order to solve the problem of spectrum fragmentation caused by dynamic assignment of virtual optical network service, a defragmentation trigger mechanism and two online resource defragmentation algorithms (concurrent-rerouting and signed-routing) were proposed. These two resource defragmentation algorithms improved the performance of blocking probability and spectrum utilization, which was proved by the data of simulation. Besides, concurrent-rerouting defragmentation algorithm got better quality of services than signed-routing defragmentation algorithm because it consider about interruption caused by the defragmentation.3. Based on the architecture of software defined multi-domain optical network, a cross-domain virtualization providing method was proposed. And complete the development of virtualization management module in the controller of software defined optical network.
