With the development of wireless communication technology, communication gradually turns to the wireless mode. However traditional TCP was designed for fixed hosts, not considering the situation that the wireless communication becomes more and more important. So researchers began to study the information-centric networks. Information-centric networks is a new clean-slate network architecture, it changes the traditional mode from identifying host to identifying content. In Information-centric networks, the content is named and the routing mode is route-by-name. It focus on the content, not the location of content is published.Although to some extent information-centric networks can achieve efficient content transmission, it still exists some problem. This paper focuses on the mobility problem and studies the provider mobility problem in information-centric networks. Some proposals of information-centric networks cannot handle provider mobility effectively, because when the provider moves, we need to update the entire network routing information, which causes the packets loss and significant network delay. This paper proposes an approach based on domain proxies to handle provider mobility. In this approach, we divide the network into several independent domains, and every domain deploys a domain proxy. The proxy can handle the packets passed through it and it also can buffer the packets. By the communication between the proxies, the problem of packets loss and network delay can be improved. The scheme can apply to CCN or NDN proposals. By the simulation and analysis using ndnSIM, we can certify that compared to the basic information-centric networks, the proposed approach performs better in the metrics--both the delivery ratio and retrieval time and it can deploy in the typical proposals in information-centric networks, such as CCN and NDN.
