At present, the number of mobile phones, tablets and other portable devices is increasing sharply in the whole world. The consumer is not only a content requester of the network, but also acts as a content provider to respond to request in the network. In the Content-Centric Networking, unlike the movement of content consumer, when the content provider moves, all content consumers that communicate with the content provider need to reestablish communication with the content provider, resulting in problems such as the high handover latency and difficult in obtaining content in time. Therefore, the problem of content provider mobility management in the Content-Centric Networking is a problem to be studied and solved urgently. This paper summarizes the research status of content provider mobility in CCN, analyzes the existing problems of content provider mobility such as the high handover latency, long time of content access and difficulty in aggregation of the routing table, and proposes a method which is based on proactive caching of vital nodes to support content provider mobility. First of all, a vital node discovery algorithm is designed and implemented to evaluate and identify the vital nodes by degree centrality, node deletion destructiveness, routing betweenness centrality and node activity. At the same time, select the Zipf-like algorithm model to calculate the contribution of each content to the consumer request, and sort the content contribution to obtain the specific content which needs to be proactively cached in the content provider. The PCVN method proactively caches the specific content in the content provider to the vital nodes to realize the efficient distribution of the specific content, and improves the handoff performance of the content provider. Finally, the main functional modules of the PCVN method are designed and implemented, and the simulation experiment environment is built based on ndnSIM. The test results show that the PCVN method can reduce the handoff delay and content fetch time during the movement of content provider.
