Fortunately, as software professionals and managers paying attention to software testing in recent years, software testing becomes indispensable.An anti-virus software named B guard is jointly developed by a Chinese famous Internet company and a foreign professional anti-virus company. The1.0edition of the B guard, with ten million level group of users and good user reputation, contains virus protection, system optimization and network monitoring and software management.The newly added functions of the2.0edition of the B guard, such as network monitoring and file helper, is the target to be tested. The major contributions of the dissertation are put forward as follows:1. Take an analysis to the B guard’s requirement in function and performance. In the functional test, for the file helper, the network regulation and other function which is newly added in the2rd edition of the software, a set of test cases will be designed by the method of test case designing. In terms of performance, it is claimed that the software is safe、light and fast. Those performance points become specific data in performance test, such as boot and shutdown time test, installation time test, static resource occupation. The performance test scripts will be write and optimized.2. Build the test environment and take the system test. The system test is take on the Windows OS as the test environment and on both entity and virtual computers. According to the test plan, functional test and performance will be take. The result of the test be a BUG List on the BUG manager platform which named Redmine and a test report.
