In order to meet the requirements of image recording in the measurement system, animage recorder based on NAND Flash and FPGA is designed in this paper. The recorderimplements the storage of two high-speed image data separately, and can automatically returnthe image data. The image data can be analyzed and read afterwards.Taking the principle of modularity and reliability, methods of implement and works ofeach hardware and software module was detail described. In the design of hardware, therecorder is composed of power board, memory board and control board. These boards areconnected with the stacked structure. In the software design, top-down and modular designmethods are used. To overcome the shortcomings of slow write speed of monolithic Flash,choosing Samsung4G NAND Flash K9WBG08U1M as the storage medium, using efficientbad blocks management and “interleave two-plane page program+on-chip2levelpipelining” to make Flash has a high memory speed. Thus meet the memory bandwidthrequirements effectively. To solve the error cost by date lost in image recording process, thecollected image data should be placed in the fixed frame structure and each frame of datashould write to the previously assigned memory space. Thus, these frame can isolate fromeach other, and the error one can not affect the others.Finally, function tests are introduced. The results show that the recorder works stably,the functions of the design requirements are well implemented.
