Abstract/Summary:
The Internet is witnessing a rapid development at present. More kinds of network applications and services are emerging. Different and large amount of resource data connects people’s life with Internet more closely. At the same time, network protocol and management has become more and more complicated. The traditional network architecture exposes a series of problems. Under this background, Software-Defined Network (SDN) reflects its unique advantages. Especially, the realization of OpenFlow is attracting more and more attention. Under the new architecture of SDN, the real-time and reliable network information presentation and simple network management is an important part. Traditional network management system usually adopts Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). Most of the network equipments support this protocol. Network management system communicates with equipment with it and gets data. However, redesign of network management system for SDN network management is a complex process and SDN may not fully replace the existing network in the near future, so how to combine the traditional network management protocol and new network architecture is an urgent problem to be solved.This thesis is supported by National863Project "Triple Play". Based on SDN-infrastructure for diverse network services and applications and combined with centralized management mechanism of OpenFlow, we design and implement a network management system. Firstly, this thesis designs and implements component which acquires topology and resource of SDN based on NOX controller. Moreover, this thesis designs Management Information Base (MIB) structure to provide a unified SNMP interface. Secondly, this thesis provides the SDN network management platform based on WEB. All the data of SDN has been stored and displayed, mainly including real-time management of topology of physical and virtual network, pipeline of flow tables, content of flow tables and business information of different virtual networks. The virtual networks include SIP session service, multicast service and traditional IP service. Finally, this thesis sets up SDN network testbed and designs test cases based on requirements of SDN network management. Through these test cases, we verify and evaluate effectiveness of SDN network management system on management of physical network, virtual network, flow table and services.
