Short for Multiple Input Multiple Output, MIMO technology is a key technology of next generation communication system, it can exponentially improve the system capacity and spectral efficiency without increasing the transmission power and spectral bandwidth, introduce the space resources brought by multiple antennas on the basis of making full use of the time and frequency resources, make effective use of traditional multipath effect as an advantage factor to improve the reliability of transmission link. However, the premise of the maximum capacity of MIMO is fading between the transmitting and receiving antennas are independent and identically distributed, this situation does not comply with the actual communication, due to volume, power and other restrictions, the antennas in mobile terminal may affect each other then bring some relevance, thus weakening the system performance. Therefore, my thesis focuses on the impact of terminal antenna parameters on the LTE communication system performance, intends to build a mathematical model between antenna parameters and channel capacity, and applies it to a user pairing scheduling scheme in the heterogeneous network to observe the effect. This will has significant meaning for antenna design and algorithms analysis.The main contents of this paper are as follows:first, studying the multiple antenna parameters and system performance indicators and give related definitions and expressions. Secondly, introducing three indicators of LTE system, that is channel capacity, diversity gain and multiplexing efficiency. Because few papers take into the impact of terminal antennas account when analyzing communication system performance, we analyze the effect of single antenna parameter on channel capacity, and arrive at a mathematical model, meanwhile, building a simulation platform to verify its correctness. Finally, based on user antenna parameters and user scheduling researches in the homogeneous network, we propose a novel and effective user scheduling algorithm and analyze the performance of this scheme with considering the impact of multi-antennas. This algorithm takes into the different characteristics of heterogeneous users’antennas, and makes a good balance between system capacity and user fairness. In analyzing this scheme, we cite the mathematical model derived before to consider antennas’influence. The simulation results show that this scheme can not only reduce the complexity of signal processing in base station, but also improve the average cell spectrum efficiency and cell edge spectrum efficiency.
