The current network experiment in university is mainly operated at the scene, to do operations which are low efficiency, poor flexibility, low efficiency of activity such as switching, plugging equipment’s line directly and so on. And nowadays college laboratory activity is not only confined to the manipulations of communication equipment, for example, the application in computer network experiment course, but also need the operation of the monitoring equipment, such as oscilloscope, optical detector, etc. Experiments are even not only confined to one region. Because of various reasons, laboratories are in a state of the coexistence of different vendors and different kinds of equipment, which makes these devices different in functional properties, communication mode, the underlying control command and so on various aspects, it has brought unnecessary trouble to the experimental activities. On the purpose of ignoring physical devices and even geographic difference, making university students focus on the experiment principle, the design and implementation of open network experiment platform management system is particularly important.Firstly, this paper has made some key researches about the open network experiment platform management system, such as how to solve cross-regional, cross-platform, how to troubleshoot the situation of serious network heterogeneity, how to shield the difference of equipment manufacturers and how to discover the network topology. Then this paper has made a systematic analysis on the open network experiment platform management system, and has made detailed descriptions based on the basic needs and functional needs. Based on the above mentioned, this paper disigns and implements a system architecture about the open network experiment platform management system, and makes detailed descriptions about the layered architecture of this system. Then this paper designs and realizes the Web application platform based on the frame of Spring, SpringMVC and Mybatis, and this framework based on MVC design pattern is lightweight and open source, the Web application platform solves problems that the open network experiment platform management system can not be cross-regional and cross-platform. Based on software-defined idea, this paper puts forward that providing the unified standard OpenFlow protocol for the communication between the Web application platform and equipments in the network. Then the paper designs and realizes the OpenFlow controller to solve the problem of network heterogeneity. This paper designs and realizes the embedded Agent to resolve problems of how to shield the difference of equipment manufacturers and how to discover the network topology.Finally,this paper make a set of experiments to test functions,such as automatically discovering network topology, shielding the difference of equipment,and distributed managing the network, and the result of tests shows the open network experiment platform management system can run well and its functions are in line with expectations.
