Today, desalted water as an important production medium, are widely used in industrial production. With the continuous improvement of production process requirement, the higher requirement of water quality, meanwhile, the stricter the requirement of control have to be satisfied. The accurate quality adjustment, is directly related to the safe operation of industrial production, and can avoid the chemical causes for equipment failure and the accident. In order to make conductivity and pH of desalted water stable within a given index quickly, in this paper, taking a desalted water system of a steel plant taken as an object, a control system for the electrical conductivity and pH value are designed, and implemented.Firstly, the main studied problems and characteristics of the desalted water process in the production process control are introduced, and the present situation and the existing problems on the conductivity and pH parameter control are analyzed to establish the control indexes corresponding to conductivity and pH value of control parameters.Secondly, the software and hardware designs for the desalted water production process control system are introduced and an implementation of the selection and assessment of control system are carried out.Thirdly, for the characteristics of strong, nonlinearity, time-varying and non-accurate mathematical model of the electrical conductivity and pH value control, a system controller is designed and simulated adopting PLC combined with fuzzy control and RBF neural network control technology, and the simulation results are compared.Fourthly, programming and debugging of the control system are carried out.Compared to the original production situation the results of field application indicates, the improved system obtains the good effectiveness.
