Design And Development Of Automotive Fuel Tank Design System Based On C#

Fuel tank is the independent Assembly of the vehicle to store fuel. It is regarded asan important functional and safety parts. Nowadays, with the development and revi-talization of national auto industry, the demand for automobiles fuel tanks signifi-cantly increased and became more diversified, which increased the burden on the de-signer. If the CAD system can be secondary developed aiming at the features of fueltank design, it is expected that the fuel tank design efficiency will be improved andthe competitiveness of enterprises will be enhanced.The UML use case model was constructed based on the analysis of the require-ments of fuel tank design system. According to the characteristics of the system envi-ronment,C/S three-tier structure was selected as the system framework. The functionsof system was divided according to the results of the needs analysis, and C#languagebased on NET framework was used as development language. The system used SQLServer2000as the database management system based the actual situation of enter-prise server. According to the function of the system designed the database.ADO.NET technology was used by system to achieve access to the database.COM-based ActiveX Automation technology was used to develop AutoCAD andEXCEL, which achieved the functions of generating assembly drawing, cabinet ex-panded drawing and parts list. Database management and FTP management functionswas integrated in System, which allowed users to be able to complete database andFTP management on the client and improved maintainability and scalability of thesystem.The system achieves the computer-aided design of fuel tank. Winform interface isused by the system which encapsulates the function of database query and fuel tankcalculation. Only basic information is required to complete the fuel tank design,which liberates designers from heavy design work.The system is tried out in enter-prise and have achieved good results.
