The component pressed in this paper mainly used in electro-hydraulic servo valve and other devices, the requirements of press-fit precision for the component are very critical. At present, the domestic press-fit of such components mainly relies on manual operation, it needs experienced and skilled workers, then the press-fit assembly efficiency is very low. Based on the requirements of current development, an automatic press-fit assembly system for miniature components was built. According to the press-fit assembly device has been built, an automatic control system of the device was developed in this paper.After analyzing the configuration and press-fit process requirements of the pressed component, Contrary to the automatic press-fit assembly device which was built, according to the working principle of the automatic press-fit assembly device and the ideas of modular design, the device was built and divided into three function modules:clamping and positioning module, visual alignment module, press-fit operation module. The composition of each function module and its functions are described. According to the function requirements of the device, the control circuit was designed. The composition and functions of the computer-control system and its control circuit are described.A control system of automatic press-fit assembly device for miniature components was developed. Firstly, according to the hardware of the device, the overall software framework and the main process framework of the control system were designed. Then, according to the functions of the control system, it was divided into five modules:system initialization module, parameter setting module, parts loading and alignment module, press-fit operations module and component removing module. According to the ideas of modular programming and the corresponding control strategies, the process framework of each module was designed, then the programs of each module were debugged. The functions and debugging of every module were realized based on LabVIEW programs. Finally, the design of a friendly man-machine interface and the control system were completed.Some calibration experiments and precision tests for the device have been done, which included the visual equipment calibration experiments, the force sensor calibration experiments, the grating ruler calibration experiments, the grating ruler repetitive positioning precision tests, the linear actuator repetitive motion precision tests, the force sensor measurement precision tests. These calibration experiments and precision tests guaranteed primary precision of the press-fit assembly device. Finally, some press-fit tests for the device have been done by controlling of the control system, which verified the feasibility of the control system. The test results showed that the control system of automatic press-fit assembly developed in the paper could meet all the press-fit functions and greatly improve the production efficiency.
