| Advantages of different terminals can be integrated through multi-terminal cooperationtechnology, to provide users with a richer and better services. There exist several multi-terminalsynchronization schemes currently, but their performance on reliability and efficiency are not verygood. The synchronization of multi-terminal cooperation is discussed on this paper, and a solution isput forward which aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of synchronization.The AMS and RTP/RTCP protocol are studied in this paper on synchronization problems andsolutions, SMS is proposed based on the interoperability of different ends on multi-terminalcooperation situation. In SMS application container is selected as the controlling party,and mediastreams are classed into Master and Slave media stream, then master media stream is selected as thesynchronization reference. The container gets the feedback information of media play progress fromother terminals. A pplication container makes decision based on feedback information, and thenreturns control packets to each terminal. The terminals perform synchronization operation accordingto the control packets. This scheme is used for inter-stream synchronization and groupsynchronization. We design their synchronization interaction processes, control packet format, thecalculation method of the information in control packets,and so on. Finally, the synchronizationscheme is evaluated on NS2simulation platform, and multimedia sessions between multi-terminalare simulated. Compared to other schemes, the proposed scheme is better on the reliability andefficiency aspects of synchronization. |
