Streaming services is considered as the next stage of the developmentof the network media. Although streaming has lots of advantages, thereare a number of barriers to hinder it from more widespread use. Designedto handle non-real time data traffic, Internet can only provide "besteffort" service, which cannot satisfy the Quality of Service requirementfor carrying audio and video. How to improve its real-time capability toguarantee QoS of communication is a critical technique issue and one ofthe technique difficulties of streaming system. This thesis is focusedon the design, application and further research of RTP/RTCP to controlthe QoS of streaming System.The paper first overviews the research background of wirelessspeaker, and elaborate the technique background and future directionsof streaming. The critical factors of the QoS of streaming, includingdelay and jitter, are analyzed too. Then introduces the critical techniqueof hardware and software. Based on the in-depth research of RTP/RTCPprotocol, the formulas for calculating the monitoring parameters of QoSare induced. At last, the paper gives out the structure and scheme ofwireless speaker;describes the design, application and further research(synchronization of speakers' clock) of RTP/RTCP, and result of relevanttest;and addresses the transplantation of RTP/RTCP Stack to uClinux.But for the limited condition and the lack of my knowledge, there aremust be some deficiencies in my solution. I'll make further improvementduring future study and research.
