6LoWPAN(IPv6over Low power Wireless Personal Aera Network)technology was made bythe IETF working group in2004, It is mainly about how to combine IPv6technology and wirelesssensor network technology. With more and more6LoWPAN applications widely used in variousfields,6LoWPAN network management systems (NMS) become more important. A good6LoWPAN NMS can guarantee reliable, stable and efficient network operation, and theconformance testing on6LoWPAN based protocol is also very meaningful. This thesis focuses ontwo aspects: one is researching on lightweight SNMP based on6LoWPAN, the other is research onconformance test methods, test plans and test set implementation of lightweight SNMP.Firstly, this thesis deeply study the standard SNMP RFC documents and the latest draft of6LoWPAN based SNMP, and give a detailed description of lightweight SNMP architecture, packetformat and management information base (MIB). Secondly, this thesis research on various protocolconformance testing methods and processes, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of variousmethods, then find out the most suitable for lightweight SNMP conformance test method isRealProct method which is detailed described in its testing framework and key technologies.Moreover, the conformance test set plan is made and the testing process of lightweight SNMP isdescribed. Finally, the lightweight SNMP protocol conformance testing is realized, the whole test isbased on RealProct test method, and the test case is realized by TTCN-3(Testing and Test ControlNotation)language.
