Wireless sensor network management is an important supporting technology in thedevelopment of the wireless sensor networks. At present, researchers in WSN managementtechnology only proposed management framework,such as MANNA and BOSS managementframework. And there is no standardized management protocol for WSN management.6LoWPAN technology makes the integration of traditional INTERNET with the WSN becomereality because it introduces Ipv6into WSN. Due to this technology, many researchers areactively researching reusing the tradition INTERNET network protocol in the WSN. In traditionalINTERNET network SNMP protocol is the most widely used management protocol and hasbecome the management standard. Reusing the SNMP protocol in wireless sensor networkmanagement can realize the integration of the both network management and will greatly improvethe application range of WSN.Protocols of the traditional network can not be directly applied into WSN due to therestrictive conditions of the wireless sensor networks. The protocols must be clipped to adapt tothe characteristics of WSN network. Conformance test is an important part of the protocol designprocess,only those implementation who passed the conformance test can correctly communicatewith other implementation which comply with its protocol spe cification. Based on the abovebackground, this thesis describes a technology which improved the SNMP protocol so that it canadapt to the characteristics of the WSN. The new protocol which named6LoWPAN-SNMP usesheader compression and designs new protocol operation and combines multicast broadcastmechanism to achieve its goal. While for the another big part of the protocol—MIB, it does notput forward improving method. In response to this shortcoming, this thesis makes it up. Aftercutting out the lightweight SNMP protocol, conformance testing is carried out for the6LoWPAN-SNMP. In detail, this thesis plans the conformance abstract test suite and designes anew loopback test method based on the remote test method for the6LoWPAN-SNMP, and finallydevelopes the abstract test suite using TTCN3.
