With the rapid development and extensive application of computer network technologies, the Internet of Things has become an important new network, and used in various fields. The Internet of Things can be achieved by embedded wireless network.6LoWPAN (IPv6over Low-power Wireless Personal Area Network) implements IPv6communication based on IEEE802.15.4, therefore it can interconnect the wireless LAN and the Internet to achieve the related functions of the Internet of Things.6LoWPAN Working Group established by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), specializes in the research work of the IPv6protocol stack based on the IEEE802.15.4standard.The functions of6LoWPAN technology are completed by the adaptation layer of the protocol stack. The adaptation layer is used to connect the IPv6network layer and link layer. The network layer of6LoWPAN adopts the IPv6standard and the underlying adopts the IEEE802.15.4standard. The innovation of6LoWPAN lies in the connection of IPv6and the IEEE802.15.4.Protocol is the core technology of the network communications.Without a good protocol as; support, it is difficult to ensure the LoWPAN’s stability and its overall energy saving, and the low-power competitive advantage of the LoWPAN would not exist. Therefore, the protocol conformance testing should be carried out to verify the accuracy of the protocol implementation. In this paper, the main research work includes the following aspects:Firstly, the existing documentations of6LoWPAN research group, the IPv6protocol stack and IEEE802.15.4standard which are the basis of6LoWPAN are analyzed. The specification of6LoWPAN adaptation layer protocol is mainly analyzed in this paper. According to the specification, the core functions of the adaptation layer are implemented to be the SUT(System Under Test).Secondly, the hierarchical CPN models of the basic functions of6LoWPAN adaptation layer are established by CPN Tools, and the reachability graph is automatically generated by the CPN model. And the test sequences are extracted from CPN models. According to the adaptation layer testing needs, the relevant test sequences are extracted.Finally, test cases for adaptation layer conformance testing are designed according to the test sequences, and TTCN-3abstract test suite is composed via TTworkbench tool based on TTCN-abstract test suite design method. Then, the test adapter and Codec are proposed to achieve the conformance testing of adaptation layer’s core functionalities.
