Conformance testing of a protocol is the process of verifying that an implementation performsin accordance with a particular protocol standard.This paper emphasise the conformance testingresearch of Lightweight IPSec protocol.Lightweight IPSec protocol could be applied in wirelesssensor networks while considering the burden on the WSN nodes.The LOWPAN_NHC encodingmethod,which is a compressed encoding method,can be used for the IPSec lightweighting.Somefield values can be set as options in the packet header.Based on the relevant protocol testingtechnology,for two protocols in IPSec protocol,two methods are applied for generate the testsuites.For IKE main mode,abstract conformance testing suite sequence can be generated by UIOmethod which based on the finite state machine FSM.No state transition is one of the feature’s ofAH protocol.So the test suites for AH protocol could be designed by using the TTCN-3language.AH protocol testing purposes can be divided into three categories: basic data test group, functionaltest group,authentication algorithm test group.Then,the corresponding test suites would be given inthe form of testing modules.The paper discusses the maintainability and scalability of the protocoltest suites,and provides some opinions of the author.
