The database management system of CD attached with books is to store the CD-roomresources in the network server in the local area network (LAN) through technical processingon CD. And then the users can inquire, browse/download the information by internet. Thesystem can make a number of readers have access to the use of optical disc resources by thecampus network anytime, anywhere, without being limited by the available quantity. It has alot of advantages: small to medium injury, reducing staff work in the circulation management,and so on.This dissertation expounds the background, purposes and meanings of the research, andputs forward the design of the system. The basic knowledge of the system is introduced,including the B/S model, Tomcat web server, database SQL server, the MVC developmentpattern and JSP technology, etc. It also analyses the system design goal, functionalrequirements, performance requirements, software and hardware requirements, etc., anddetermines the overall design of the system of the function module design, database design,CD content store design system. It introduces the detailed design of system database and thefunction module, and makes the librarians have access to the management of the disc-paddingbooks, CD attached with books, the user information, the announcements, the user messages,etc, and the reader to the application of retrieving, browsing, downloading, commenting andapplying for opening the CD. The article discusses the key technology of the resourcesintegration, the screening and processing the resources of CD attached with books, the P2Pstreaming media vod technology, database security, automatic loading of CD-room image filein the system design.
