The technology of the Internet of Things (IOT) can make all sorts of equipments access thenetwork. It can implement the information interaction between equipments. The USPIOT(Ubiquitous Service Platform for Internet of Things) which is developed by our team is a unifiedservice platform oriented for IOT. Its main function is to manage the monitoring, installation andstarting of the service applications which run on this IOT platform. Besides, this platform can beused in many types of equipments, such as the PCs, the mobiles and the tablet PCs. The Androidversion of USPIOT client manages the Android service applications in Android system.In this paper, the main program the Android version of the USPIOT client is designed andimplemented. In addition, with the consideration of the functional requirements of IOT platformand the characteristic of Android system, the parallel method is adapted to run the main program ofAndroid client and Android application service in the same Android equipment. Moreover, thelogistics information management system is designed and implemented as a sample serviceapplication.The major contributions of our work are described as follows:(1)Firstly, the USPIOT client is developed forAndroid system.And theAndroid version of theUSPIOT client can realize the management of monitoring, installation and starting of the serviceapplications running in the USPIOT.(2)Secondly, the parallel method is implemented to run the main program of Android clientand Android application service in the same Android device. In this method, the main program callsthe service application. On this basis, an identification scheme is proposed to identify the mainprogram and the service to solve the security issues caused by the openness of the Android systemwhen calling the application services.(3)Finally, a logistics information management system is designed as a sample serviceapplication for this platform in Android system. It is shown that our system can realize the functionsof tracing objects, querying storage information and managing the loading and unloading of cargos.
