With the explosive growth of data business, frequency resources of LTE-Advanced system becomes increasingly scarce, simply increasing the number of carriers or base stations has been difficult to meet the demand of coverage and capacity of wireless communication. Multi-layer/multi-cell network introduces the smaller stations including pico、femto and relay, which has a lower transmission power than that of macro station, these nodes are small in size and flexible deployed with small coverage, they can effectively improve the spectrum utilization. But in this network, inter-layer/inter-cell interference is the main factor influencing the system performance, the wireless resource utilization is always in contradiction to the interferce in network. So the research on key technolodgies of interference coordination in multi-layer/multi-cell netwok is the necessary way to support the multi-layer/multi-cell networking and improve the overall performance.This thesis mainly studies key technology of interference coordination in multi-layer/multi-cell network, it researches on the performance of traditional frequency domain interference coordination technology and cell range expansion technology. On this basis the thesis puts forward a new interference coordination technology solution, effectively making up for the inadequacy of the traditional technology.First, a brief introduction is given to the wireless communication research background. Then this thesis expounds research status quo and focus of multi-layer/multi-cell interference coordination technology. An overview of interference coordination technology in LTE-A is given in this thesis, the basic concepts and classifications of interference coordination are introduced, and then detailed descriptions of frequency domain scheme and cell range expansion technology in different scenarios are given.For the different scenarios of multi-layer/multi-cell networks, the thesis establishes a reasonable simulation process in LTE-A and introduces the modeling ideas, simulation principles, the basic components of the system structure and functions of various parts.Based on multi-layer/multi-cell system level simulation platform, the thesis researchs the frequency domain interference coordination scheme and cell range expansion technology. Combined with soft frequency reuse technology, this paper puts forward the interference coordination optimization scheme based on optimal scheduling algorithm.Then the paper studies the performance of interference management scheme which called reverse time division duplex.
