With the development of the fourth generation mobile communication, long term evolution (LTE) technology with high data rate and low delay characteristics has become the focus of research. How to restrain inter-cell interference (ICI) and increase cell-edge performance is an important issue in LTE system. This paper described several typical inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) schemes, including soft frequency reuse (SFR) scheme, adaptive SFR (ASFR) scheme and Novel HⅡ-based frequency reuse (NHFR) scheme. Based on the simulation results, the advantages and disadvantages of these schemes were discussed. To further enhance cell-edge users’throughput, this paper presented an Weakest Interference Indicator (WⅡ) and an WⅡ-based Resource Reuse (WRR) algorithm. In addition, an WⅡ-based power control strategy is proposed to reduce ICI.Simulation results showed that ICI can be effectively reduced by WRR algorithm which can estimate the reusable resources priority. Besides, cell-edge users’average throughput was also improved. |
