Study On Flexible Duplex In LTE Heterogeneous Network

Flexible duplex is an important phase in the process of duplex evolution and it is just before the convergence of TDD and FDD,which is the trend of LTE network in the future.Thus the study on flexible duplex is very important.This thesis introduces some background knowledge of LTE HetNet,including the structure of radio frame,radio resources of LTE,the scenarios of heterogeneous network and the characteristic and main difference of LTE FDD and TD-LTE.And then some research results are obtained:1)A flexible duplex algorithm based on uplink and downlink traffic flexible adaption is proposed in TD-LTE heterogeneous network.Another typical algorithm is used for the purpose of comparison.2)Four kinds of cases using different flexible duplex methods are studied in TD-LTE heterogeneous network which consider two kinds of user equipment.Throughput and conflict probability are simulated in the dual-period flexible duplex algorithm.3)Three scenarios using flexible duplex in LTE FDD HetNet are studied.After mathematically modeling and interference computing,the most suitable scenario is selected.Furthermore,a new design of radio frame and flexible duplex implementation based on radio frame selection are proposed.Finally the performance evaluation of this flexible duplex algorithm is displayed and analyzed.The simulation focuses on the interference and throughput.4)Some realistic problem about the design of the network using flexible duplex is discussed.As a typical method of interference mitigation,the techniques of cell clustering are.studied and simulated.
