Good radiation performance of wireless communication terminal ensures good communication service quality. With the further developmentof multi-antenna technology, which makes full use of the characteristics of wireless transmission channel to achieve communication, MIMO system terminal also needs OTA test in the RF environment.Now the industry can notfully solve the problem of MIMO test design, and can nothave an effective test plan to evaluate the performance of MIMO wireless terminals. Therefore, exploring accurate repeatable wireless transmission environment, and designing reliable and effective assessment of the MIMO wireless terminals, are the current hot spots in the field of OTAtheory research and testing.This paper studies the MIMO-OTA requirement analysis.Based on the multiple antenna communication system platform, combined with the channel modeling, antenna directivity and Angle estimation strategy simulation, paper obtains the comparison and analysis that the equipment antenna performance affects the performance of the whole communication system.In order to better detect equipment antenna performance under the three dimensional space,combined with the existing experimental conditions and standards and protocols to the CTIA, a single point of OTA test preliminary platform system is set up.And paper shows the construction of the single point of OTA test platform and calibration, and implements the radiation of mobile terminal basic performance test and results.Finally, according to the different applications, paper puts forward the construction of MIMO OTA testing system of the three schemes.(1) MIMO OTA test system transformation construction scheme, the scheme realizes the single point of OTA test system to MIMO OTA test system upgrade.(2) multiple antenna channel environment simulation scheme, by using multipath grouping and the probe antenna distribution method, this scheme helps emulate multiple antenna channel environment.(3) more space antenna communication system performance verification scheme, the scheme is based on open interface prototype system of software radio, and it uses logic switching factor under test and reference factor, which can realize the multi-level all-round multi-antenna system space performance verification test.
