Design And Development Of Wotmall Of WOT Applications And Resources On Android Terminal

In recent years, Internet of Things has developed very rapidly, and achieved many positive results. But there are still some issues in its application layer, such as the high threshold of developing applications, long development cycle, difficulty to achieve large-scale promotion and lack of management system for applications. To solve these problems, this article proposes a solution which combines the Apple App Store model with WoT technology together, and applies it to the integration of Internet of Things’applications and resources. App Store is created by Apple Inc which can be considered as a new business model. It enables developers to publish applications derectly in the "store" and sell it to the end users, thus forming a new commercial channel. This paper takes "store in store" as main design idea, design and develope a WoTMall system, and mainly work on the Android application part. WoTMall provides unified management entrance of mobile applications for a team/company, integrates resources together and share them on the web, which would reducing the threshold of application development, increasing the developer’s enthusiasm and enabling developer work more effectivily in their professional field.This project integrate WoT applications and WoT resources (gateways and sensors) together to provide a uniform manners of presentations, facilitate the simultaneously management of them. And WoTMall allows users to subsbribe resources and data they need to mix different datas and resources together to conduct business. Also, Android mobile itself can be a intelligent middleware, which can display sensor data and share them on WoT platform. Meanwhile, the project is also scalable, and can easily meet the needs of application management of other company or team.This article combined App Store model and WoT technical features together, analyzes and summarizes the target and demands of WoT system in the beginning. Based on demands of the project, the design of the overall framework and the framework composition is given. And then, this paper describes the design of the Android-based WoTMall application in detail, and gives the basic functions flow diagrams and business flow chart diagrams.Based on project demands and flow charts, combined with software engineering thought and Android technology, the composition of the application architecture, the processes of the program and the implementation of key function modules are given in detail.The WoTMall application provides a reference case for future study and improvement.
