With the great development of Communication Technologies, electric power companies through the country have transformed the formed operation mode according to present situation, established unattended or self-service communication stations gradually. On the basis of our company’s statistics, Communications Equipments of substations breakdown contributed to power system interruption or below-average of integrated monitoring parameters of engine room, such as temperature and humidity. What’s more, most substations are located in the romote areas, keeping long distance with our group, resulting in inaccurating judgement to patrol and inspection of engine room or troubleshooting. Therefore, it is needed to monitor the integrated monitoring parameters of engine rooms remotely, setting up integrated monitoring system for communication network; to transform the manual passive guard way to the centralized monitoring and unattended management mode, ensuring the normal operation of electric power communication network.The integrated monitoring system for communication network is consititued of the computer network technology, communication technology, database technology, automatic control technology, image monitoring technology and remote operation technology etc, whose monitoring object is the power supply system, transmission network management system and optical fiber cable resources management system etc. this thesis focuses on the description of power environment monitoring system, which brings innovations for maintaining communication equipments.This thesis is based on the actual situation, designing the integrated monitoring system for communication network, which is suited to Inner Mongolia electric power. This thesis raises a new-type integrated monitoring unit, which is totally different from the former monitoring system, improving the disperse access of monitoring parameters, and adding short message alarming. When a device breakdowns, it sends short message alarming to operators, realizing the timely maintance and real-time monitoring. In the later system application testing stage, this thesis raises the improvement measures of strong magnetic interference in a system, analysizing the monitoring parameters of system, suggesting the improvements to the shortage of system.The system can also be used in quantitative analysis of equipment operating data, realize the four remote functions, providing reliable decision basis for the development of communication network, making the maintenance and management work substation of substation engine room to a new level.
