Automatic monitoring of the manufacturing process is the inexorable development tendency of industrial automation, which is an available method to guarantee the stability of product quality, so it has always been the focus of various manufacturing enterprises. Ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board(substrate) manufacturing technology is one of the key technologies to realize high-density flip-chip in the integrated circuit manufacturing industry. The stability of the key processes may directly affect the quality of high-density ultra-thin flexible printed circuit boards in ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process. An automatic monitoring and intelligent analysis method and system for the key processes of ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacture is studied in the paper, the main work is as follows:(1) Analyze the key processes and corresponding physical parameters of ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process.(2) Design the univariate statistical process control method which is based on key physical parameters, such as line width, lineal distance, aperture, roundness, copper thickness, and process rejection rate in ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process. Design the multivariate statistical process control method for the key processes which have multi-coupling parameters in ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process, monitor and evaluate fluctuations in the quality of the entire process. Simulation results demonstrate that two monitoring schemes can effectively identify abnormal situations in test data.(3) Establish recognition networks of abnormal control chart patterns based on BP neural network for the complex anomalies in ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process, recognize control chart patterns, and estimate the characteristic parameters of abnormal patterns. Simulation results demonstrate that this method could effectively recognize control chart patterns, and estimate the characteristic parameters of abnormal patterns.(4) Use MFC as a platform for the development of automatic monitoring and intelligence analyzing system in flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process, achieve various functional modules, and test the examples.This paper provides a reference for the ideas, methods and technologies of ultra-high precision flexible printed circuit board manufacturing process to achieve automatic monitoring and intelligence analyzing.
