The Design And Implementation Of Financial General Ledger System Infrastructure Of CEIEC-ERP For Foreign Trade Business

It has been widely recognized that ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, which was proposed in1990, improves management efficiency after24years of development. And it has been largely implemented now.CEIEC-ERP went live successfully in CEIEC (China National Electronics Import&Export Corp.) in2004, which was originally designed and developed by CEIEC software development team. This system has provided a very strong support for their business of CEIEC.During the10years of application, the internal and external environment changed a lot, and the strategic transformation went deeper. CEIEC-ERP must feed the needs of business changing. However, the original system cannot keep up with all the changes, so that it is imperative to upgrade the system. General ledger system, the core function of ERP, is the key point of upgrading. The infrastructure of general ledger system has to be re-designed and implemented, composed of data infrastructure and function infrastructure.This thesis is aimed to solve the problems existed in ERP general ledger system version one, and enhance the overall performance of the general ledger system. Through the analysis and research, the study began with the general ledger database table. A new financial accounting voucher database table was designed, according to the user demands and analysis of existing problems. And the implementation and application model of assist accounting were put forward, based on the new financial accounting voucher database table.In this study, other core database tables and stored procedure in general ledger system were designed. Author also proposed optimization solutions to database performance in data storage, index design and application strategy through the research. These works above implement the new general ledger system infrastructure which satisfies the need of flexible assist accounting application. And the database table structure is more stable, the data redundancy is reduced, as well as the index function is more efficient.Based on the new data infrastructure, the thesis designed and implemented the ’Voucher Class’ by using OOP (Object-Oriented Programming). It could implement various functions of voucher by using the voucher class. The related functions of the new automatic voucher subsystem were implemented through the research on the generation and application of automatic voucher. The books query function was implemented based on user demands and the new data infrastructure. So that, the core functions of general ledger system were implemented from financial data collection to financial data using. So the general ledger system infrastructure was implemented. This infrastructure is fully functional, convenient and well performed.After research in this thesis, based on the current deployment condition, the general ledger system has been widely used in CEIEC after historical data collation and migration. And it has proved a good result. The new financial database structure and the function of financial general ledger have implemented the flexible application solution of assist accounting, which have improved the CEIEC-ERP general ledger system dramatically. Combining the new automatic voucher system they all have built a powerful financial system infrastructure. And have made the business and finance integration more efficient. That makes CEIEC-ERP play a very important role in supporting the business development.
