In recent years, with the prompt development of Information Technology such asInternet Technology, Computer Technology, and Database Technology, China’seconomy is developing rapidly. In China, more and more construction maintenanceprojects are generated, in which case up to hundreds of projects are to be auditedevery year, costing more than a billion. In order to adapt to the existingBill-of-Quantity management model of separating quality and cost, as well as toaccommodate to the new situation that the Ministry of Education requires the wholeprocess of the construction project to be audited, the audit must update the originalproject management thought, mode and methods and establish the project auditmanagement information system. Taking advantage of the project audit managementinformation system to audit the school infrastructure, and the renovation of internalaudit regulation is an important job of the Ministry of Education in "the provisions ofthe Internal Audit Department of Education", which focuses on infrastructure,renovation project cost audit and objectively determines the cost of the project andcontrol costs, playing a vital role in safeguarding the interests of the universities,improving infrastructure investment efficiency, and promoting a clean government.Based on the actual situation of Xuzhou Institute of Technology and regulationsof the university’s audit department, as well as personal experiences accumulated indeveloping computer applications, this paper proposes audit management informationsystem for Xuzhou Institute of Engineering. In the system development process, thepaper is in strict compliance with the principles of software development, whichrequire seven stages naming the system demand analysis, the overall systemframework design, each module detailed design, module coding, module testing,integration testing, and operation and maintenance. In the demand analysis phase ofthe system, the paper conducts the feasibility analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, and security analysis to understand user needs and systemfunctionality to be achieved to meet needs of the relevant departments. After that, thewhole frame structure of the system, which is used to guide the development of eachmodule in the system, is designed based on the results of the analysis after fulfillingthe demand analysis. Once the detailed design of the system completed, coding beginsbased on the detailed design process and corresponding tests are conducted. If thetests are normal, all modules are to be integrated, in which way errors can be detectedquickly, and development efficiency can be improved effectively in turn. In the end,the entire integrated system is to take running tests.Based on the design and implementation of the audit management informationsystem for Xuzhou Institute of Engineering, the paper can fulfill the basic processesof audit projects for the university, thus improving the quality and efficiency of auditwork, and providing the normative reference to the follow-up audit project to becarried out for universities.
