With the rapid development of economic construction in our country, the demandof national production for electricity is increasing and the marketing mode of electricpower transforms from the original form of planned economy to market economy. Alarge number of power supply units are introduced and the close power supplynetworks are established by electric power enterprises in order to meet the growingdemand for electricity. As power users、data of power management、dynamic changesof power supply lines as well as power supply repair and maintenance increasesharply, the electric power enterprises must strengthen the management of distributiongrid to ensure electricity users of power supply service with high quality. To improvepower supply enterprises’ management efficiency of distribution grid, it is necessaryto adopt modern management means to manage distribution power grid, to establishmanagement information system of distribution grid and to improve managementlevel,Distribution grid management is the most important one of the daily business ofpower supply enterprises, which mainly manages substation and power grid as well aspower supply units. This paper displays data of power lines、 power towers、transformer substations etc. that have spatial location information on the electronicmap by using geographic information system (GIS for short) as the underlyingsupport platform, It’s to manage the data of distribution network through variousfunction of geographic spatial analysis provided by GIS platform combined withbusiness data of distribution network, using GIS spatial analysis function to provideauxiliary decision support for distribution grid management.To organize during the phase of demand analysis, system design, systemimplementation, system testing and so on. In the phase of requirements analysis, the specific business needs of distribution power grid are analyzed with detail, the basicfunction of the system is specified by using data flow diagram and the detailedfunction together with users’ role of each function in distribution grid system arespecified by use case diagram of system function. In the phase of system design, themain functions of the system are designed in detail, and the physical environment ofelectric distribution system’s operation, the overall architecture of the system,database table in the system, and E-R diagram among the data tables etc. are designed.In the phase of system implementation, the implementation process of the system’smain function is introduced in detail, giving the program flow chart to each function.In the phase of system testing, the system is tested by many kinds of testing methodand the result of the system’s test is summarized.In the phase of system requirement analysis, the object-oriented requirementanalysis method is adopted to design by the software-VISIO. In the phase of systemimplementation, the system’s program codes are written by the developmenttool-Visual Studio2010, mainly using Asp.NET、C#、ArcGIS Server API to achieve.The system got very good application in power supply bureau in a county as anapplication demonstration project of digital Lishu. The management of distributionpower grid implemented by the management technology of computer software and theanalysis technology of geographic information space changes the originalmanagement mode of distribution grid and greatly improve the efficiency of thedistribution grid management and create more economic benefits for power supplycompanies.
