| First, the paper sums up the main steps for developing management information system (MIS) and analyzes some potential problems that may occur in its development from the point of basic principles and methods used in the course of developing MIS. The database system is one of the important components of MIS, and discusses the fundamental functions and features of the database system and database management system. It also introduces some new technology on analyzing and treating data such as data warehouse, online analysis and data mining and so on.Second, the paper researches the techniques and methods applied in MIS. Since MIS emphasizes on treating numerous data, it shall use advanced information techniques and math methods as much as possible.
