With the rapid development of WSNs (wireless sensor networks) based on IP(Internet Protocol) and its related technologies, there are increasing urgent needs ofremote management on WSNs from WANs (Wide Area Networks). However, actualmanagement applications lack standards and effective management protocols. TR069(Technical Report069) is a customer premise equipment management protocol forWANs developed by the Broadband Forum, which has the ability to manage the Internetterminals effectively. This work attends to extend the management range of TR069protocol to WSNs, thus the unified device management between the Internet and WSNscan be realized. Since WSNs are resource-limited, traditional TR069protocol cannot beapplied to WSNs directly. In view of this, a TR069management protocol for WSNs isproposed in this thesis to apply TR069management protocol to WSNs practicably andachieve the unified management of device integration and communication from theInternet to WSNs. The main work includes:1. Study the key technologies of TR069protocol, and explore the development trendand technical issues of TR069protocol for WSNs.2. Analysis the architecture of TR069protocol, and evaluate the cost onimplementation and application of TR069protocol. According to the characteristics andmanagement demands of devices in WSNs, an extended TR069management protocol forWSNs is introduced.3. For resource-plentiful devices, based on IP nodes, design a TR069Agent agencyprotocol to support direct management, realizing M2M (Machine to Machine)management. For resource-constrained devices, based on the Border Gateway, in order toreduce the resource consumption brought by TR069protocol, design a TR069Proxyingagency protocol to support indirect managements, realizing indirect management onWSNs. Meanwhile, for resource-constrained devices, taking WIA-PA (WirelessNetworks for Industrial Automation Process Automation) network management protocolfor example, propose proxy management program for the interconnection betweenWIA-PA protocol and TR069protocol.4. Taking WIA-PA protocol stack software, IoT devices (one kind of WSNs nodedevices developed in laboratory) and the Linux operating system platform for specific examples, implement TR069protocol for WSNs and set up the system environment fortest and verification.Test results show that the TR069protocol for WSNs proposed in this work is able toachieve direct management on resource-plentiful devices and proxy management onresource-constrained devices from the Internet. And meet the needs of remotemanagement in WSNs. The study of this work has a certain reference value on unifiedmanagement of devices from the Internet to WSNs.
