A method for ARM-based lightweight WEB Server is proposed in smart-cam to provide easyaccess with various browsers. Pictures are compressed into JPEG format in smart-cam. Thesepictures are transmits via TCP/IP and HTTP to WEB Server. Therefore, stream can be transmittedto browser on request. Web frontpage is implemented with jQuery and HTML5for better visualquality. A Cloud founded by cameras’ data flow provides efficient, secure and stable services forcustomers. The implemented system demonstrates the efficiency and stream quality of theproposal.This article focuses on cloud camera monitoring system detailed design of each part,including the WEB server design, WEB video player design, as well as cloud service systemconstruction. The main contents of WEB server design is analyzing the user client’s requests andthen do response; WEB video player is designation of the dynamic video stream; And the maintask of cloud service system design is to solve how the cameras communicate with each other,including communication mechanisms and scheduling mechanism. The design above is the basicframework of cloud camera monitoring system, and also is the core of this article.Actual operating performance of the system is very important. In this article, the system willbe optimized from four aspects: the principle of dynamic video stream, the stability and integrityof data transmission, multi-user access control and file-sharing reading. Based on theseoptimization and upgrading, four problems have been solved: video playback flashingphenomenon, webpage abnormal caused by incomplete data transfer, WEB Server’s burden due tomulti-user access and access violation when a file is read by many users at the same time. Developed in accordance with the proposed idea and design ideas, cloud monitoring systemhas been put into practical operation, with stable performance, security, ease of use, and high userexperience.
