This paper focuses on the construction of CIMS in HuaFu Oilfield Chemical Co. Ltd. The suggestions are put forward after investigation for quality monitoring system as well as the production situation in HuaFu company. It is suggested that HuaFu Company should use the combination of B/S and C/S computing modes, adopt Rational Rose2002 to create and make the model for the whole sub-system. In this way, the desired functions can be accomplished, including related C/S and B/S. The main contents are briefed as follows:Firstly, the theory of database technology and SQL Server 2000 are introduced, and the comparisons about the advantages and the disadvantages between Client/Server and Browser/Sever models are listed here.Secondly, VB.Net program development is introduced briefly here.Thirdly, UML(Unified model language) and modeling tool Rational Rose 2002 are also introduced here, which are used in the program development.Fourthly, the methods and the development procedures are illustrated, which are related to the Rational Rose model creation and UML method in quality monitoring sub-system.Finally, the author of this paper summarizes the scheme to realize the quality monitoring system, and some personal experiences and suggestions on Rational Rose usage and UML model creation are also put forward here.
