This paper comprehensively analyses the research management information system,which is based on the current domestic and international research on the development ofmanagement information systems, combined with the specific content and researchmanagement features of Chinese Academy, according to the requirements of ChineseAcademy of Sciences research department of business management, in view of theframework of ARP of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Academic Resource Planning,referred to as "ARP").According to the actual needs of the management of the Chinese Academy ofSciences and user’s needs, use of Leading science and technology projects of ChineseAcademy of science as a typical type for the research project management, focusing on thebusiness management process, functional requirements and module analysis of the researchmanagement work, it complete not only the design of system functional modules anddatabase, but also the analysis and design of the security of date.
