In recent years, alien invasive species cause great harm to our natural resourcesand ecological environment, and cause enormous economic losses and social impact. It has been increasingly recognized that the need for prevention and control work, andthe data retrieval of alien invasive species is a very important part of prevention andcontrol work. Traditional methods of retrieval depend on manual checking notes. It’sinefficient, inconvenient and error-prone, with the increase in the amount of data, thedefects are more and more obvious. Google Earth is a virtual earth softwaredeveloped by Google, its functions are interesting and easy to use, and Googleprovides its secondary development interface. In this context, we suggest developinga retrieval system for alien invasive species data based on Google Earth platform, andcombined with other computer technology. The main function of the system is connecting to the data server to queryaccording to user settings and show query results in the system panel and GoogleEarth view. The points of query results include census information, speciesinformation, survey data, collected labels and images. The data is inquired by callingthe Web Service interface provided by the server, and the query results are shown bycalling the Google Earth COM API and KML file to manipulate the Google Earth.Using this system, the data management will be more standardized, unified andintelligent. The staff can inquire the data easier, and the system can display queryresults visually. This allows staff to get the hazard status of a place quickly, then carryout the next step in the prevention and control work more targeted. With thecontinuous improvement of Google Earth, its application of information technology inagriculture will be more common. This article includes the following aspects:(1) Explaining the background ofproposing topics, the content and meaning of the research;(2) Introducing thenecessary computer knowledge and technology of developing this system, such as Google Earth COM API, KML, Web Service, gSoap and SQL statements, etc;(3)Analyzing the demand requirements of system, functional structure, processes andperformance requirements in detail;(4) Describing concrete realization of the systemand some technical details and notes in the implementation process;(5) Showing thefinal effect of the system and explaining the steps of manipulating the system;(6) Presenting a risk assessment and warning model for invasive alien species;(7)Summarizing this paper and predicting the future.
