Eco environment has a close relationship with everybody’s life and survival,whether environment of the campus is in good condition or not will have much effecton the research and development of the teachers and students.This research project relies on the construction of Tianjin University in JinnanDistrict and aims at building a campus ecological information system. As pollution isall around us, the research topic in this paper has great significance.The campus ecological information system consists of three parts, one is the ecomonitoring system based on hardwares, the second is the server used for data storageand exchange, the third is Android client with the function of querying and displayingeco information.The research project in this paper is a practical application of the IOT, using thesensor network to monitor and collect data of the campus, as to evaluate the waterquality, much different types of sensors are needed. Communication nodes transfereco data to the base stations. The server uses SSH architecture with SQLite database,the server is responsible for the storage of eco dada and offer interaction interface tothe Android client. Green campus Android client has the function of querying locationof the nodes, querying the real-time information of the campus environment, queryingthe history information collected by sensors. The client also supports the registrationfunction, as the client shows information of campus only registered user can use it.The campus ecological information system maintains the function of datamonitoring, data collection, data transmission, data storage and displaying together,the Android smart phone is chosen to be the displaying mobile terminal. The sensornetwork and server are backup of the client.The campus ecological information system functions very well to gain knowledgeof changes of the water. In the next step, works are being paid to improve the system,by this way we can construction a lively and green campus and provide technicalsupport to construction better cities.
