With the continuous development of China’s economy, people’s safety consciousness is enhanced gradually. There are some hidden dangers in the places where the staffs work at.The problem that how to reduce the risk of workers exposed to hazardous areas and protect them to complete works on the premise of security needs to be solved urgently. In August 2010,accompanied by the Premier Wen Jiabao’s call of "Sense China", development of the internet of things opened a new chapter. In response to national call to develop the internet of things and for reducing the risk of hazardous of staffs, the laboratory develops the temperature and pressure alarm system based on Android in cooperation with Beijing Yaston company. The paper’s main research object is to develop Android system based on ARM 11 in which realizing the data collection of temperature with the data acquisition module. When the temperature reaches the alarm point, the message will send to the target phone with SMS message module to realize the alarm.Firstly, the Android system is analyzed and the SMS message module of alarm system is designed in this paper, including the modification and optimization of Android Telephony section and the testing of the SMS module SIM300 to make the message send successfully. Then according the related characteristics of the sensor chip DS18b20, the data acquisition system is designed including the development of sensor driver and design of middle layer. At last, the completed Android system will be installed into the ARM hardware platforms to run and put into actual environment to be tested, when the temperature reaches the alarm point, the target phone will receive SMS, the temperature alarm function is realized.
