With the rapid development of multi-view video technology andthree-dimensional images and video technology at the21st century, the research on3D video technology is on the rise around the world. Compared with traditional2Dtechnology, multi-view video could give viewers more immersive effect because ofthe implicit depth information, in addition, this technology could also allow the usersto appreciate3D scene from different angles. According to this, multi-viewstereoscopic images&video collection system has become an important developmentdirection of the three-dimensional images&video technology. Multi-view videotechnology is still in the exploratory stage so far. The camera array acquisitionmethods, one of the collecting methods of the multi-view video technology, becomethe future direction of the correlational research.This paper studies the current researches and related background of camera array.According to the needs of the application, we designed a stereo images acquisitionsystem with the application of the chessboard format cameras array, resolved theproblems of accurate synchronization and large amount of data transmission andstorage, and proposed the multi-view stereo image acquisition system of geometryand color calibration method. In order to solve the error between the multi-view stereoimages, we proposed a multi-view stereo image correction method on the basis ofpredecessors. The experimental results show that the correction precision of thisalgorithm is better than Ho’s algorithm, and the robust performance enhancements.
