The Application Of Mobile Communication Technology In Transportation Management

With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, the transp-ortation enterprise information construction has been put on the agenda, in ourcountry, informatization construction is still in the initial stage, the transportationinformation management level is not high as a whole, many transportation enterpriseinformation system is still in the basic information collection, transmission andsharing, transportation resources integration, transport efficiency is not high the levelof customer service, etc.. Therefore, how to use mobile communication technology toimprove the transportation management is an urgent need to study.Transport as functions of the two logistics activities in one, influences of inform-atization level of the logistics informatization level of transportation managementlargely. Mobile space and time transport is matter, create value, logistics and transportto improve the information management level, to reduce the transportation cost, hasimportant significance to improve transport efficiency.This paper mainly studies on the mobile communication technology, function,system structure of the transportation information management system analysis,design and implementation, mainly through the integrated positioning system GPS+vehicle communication system+GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication,global system for mobile communication) system, rely on the coverage of the mobilecommunication network of national advantage the transport process, let the inform-ation timely and moving vehicles to establish contact with reality, transportation inf-ormation acquisition, tracking process of GIS/GPS positioning technology, transportinformation system construction of network technology and computer technology, doit whenever and wherever possible to monitor the position of the vehicle, to ensurethat the entire transport activities can operate normally.
