Internet of Things is an important part of the new generation of informationtechnology. It is also another revolutionary development of information industry.Wireless Sensor Network is the most direct manifestation of Internet of Things,Wireless Communication Nodes and MAC Protocol belong to the lowest level of WirelessSensor Network, They are the foundation of the entire system of communication andinformation perception.In this paper, I study and compare on wireless communication nodes andMAC protocol for the problems of short-distance wireless communication networksexist in the networking industry on the background of Smart City Project in ShunDedistrict,GuangDong. The existing wireless communication nodes and MAC protocolalgorithm are improved and perfected combined with the diversification of theInternet of things application features. The main contents in the paper are as follows:According to the analysis of characteristic of the Internet of things, we put forwardthe design of the Wireless Communication system, and design a suitable hardwaresystem after analysis and compare of the current short-range wirelesscommunications system;Based on the Internet of things,we design the EPCencoding specification as well as the main nodes and child nodes and thecommunication frame format systems at all levels of the wireless network nodes.Itmakes the system more conducive to the expansion and optimization;As for thesensor nodes’ positions are fixed in Wireless Communication system, the impact ofchange on the nodes’ location performance isn’t under considering,we design adynamic adaptive MAC protocol algorithm on wireless communication systembased on distance level quantization. At the same time, for large-scale wirelessnodes communication channel conflict and delay issues,we improve the backoffalgorithm under the CSMA/CA mechanism;Finally,according to the design ideasof the improved algorithm for MAC protocol,we make software simulation of MACprotocol and communication test for Wireless Communication Nodes.The design of wireless nodes and MAC protocol has great versatility and scalability of network portability in wireless communication system. The wirelesssensor nodes cost little and have system expansion. Improved MAC protocol alsoreduces the probability of data collision, the little latency and improves systemconnectivity.
