With the development of laser technology, laser diode relying on the output beamquality, high conversion efficiency, long service life, etc. have been widely used in thefield of light industrial, medical, defense, almost completely replace lamp pumpedmarking machine.But the trend of industrial development of laser marking industry are put forwardto improve the efficiency of marking,increase accuracy, automation and other newrequirements.Therefore,laying on the foundation of standard machine monomer, asmall automatic visual orientation of laser marking production line in semi automaticlaser was successfully developed. With the LabVIEW virtual as software developmentplatform, industrial computer as the theme, the microcontroller programming controlas the center, the device was made up with the computer’s hardware resources andlasers, stepper motor, visual sensor and other controlled hardware resources.To realizethe integration and process operation of detection and marking, labeling and detectionsystem was built based on standardization of software and hardware, integration, andmodular design With the perfect protection alarm function, certain error selfprocessing functions, high automation, high production efficiency, the device waswidely used. This paper mainly include the following contents:Firstly, based in the detailed analysis of the necessity and feasibility of lasermarking production line automatic positioning system, designed the line’s mechanicalstructure,including the design of laser marking machine monomer, production linetransmission, three-dimensional workbench. Three-dimensional virtual prototypemodel of the line and the exploded views of production line’s assembly process werebuilt by using SolidWorks.Secondly, the production line’s degree of automation was influenced by therealization of location,so the automatic focusing system was designed. Using theultrasonic sensor as signal acquisition terminal, AT89C52single-chip microcomputeras the focusing control center,the system is responsible for the control of ultrasonicsensor to transmit and receive ultrasonic signals, temperature and humidity sensor toreceive temperature and humidity signal. And the system is responsible for thecoordination of automatic focusing system and the PC’s working state. Lastly, the PC software and motion control scheme were designed,including thedesign of image acquisition system based in vision sensor, image processing systemand control system of step motor’s motion and so on. The processing program of PC’simages was designed by using LabVIEW. To realize automatic position of theproduction line, the image feature extraction value and function library LMC-2weredynamically linked.The results indicate that the system provides a feasible solution for the automaticvisual location of small and medium power laser marking machine. Combined withthe laser marking technology and image recognition technology, the marking linerealize the jump from semi-automatic to automatic.
