Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) tells that meridians build a system of running blood,contactting organs and body surface and controlling body functions. The meridian theory is thebasis of body acupuncture and massage, and it is an important part of the Traditional ChineseMedicine theory. At the same time, as the center of basic theory of the motherland Medicine, themeridian theory plays an important role in protectting the health of the Chinese nation in the longriver of two thousand years of medical.The TCM description of the meridians mainly stays on the subjective experience level,and,it is lack of objective and rigorous research methods and theoretical support, thus, the TCMtheory has not been accepted by the Western medical community yet. The research on thelocation and display of meridian has important clinical value for clinical diagnosis, treatment andefficacy assessment, and also has important significance for the clinical teaching inmedicine.With the development of computer technology, many research and application of imagefusion, computer graphics and computer vision, three-dimensional (3D) visualization technologywas proposed.3D visualization technology can provide medical personnel for an intuitive sensewhich helps to increase the accuracy of medical diagnosis and improve treatment planning.Therefore, the medical image3D visualization has recently become a hot spot of the developingmedical imaging. Currently, the computer-based Visible Human Project reflects the richanatomical detail, but not involves acupuncture knowledge. Therefore, to analyze the impedancedistribution of skin surface and merge display to the field collecting image of the human bodysurface illustrate the local body meridians. And it has great significance to improve the teachingof Chinese medicine, the guidance of clinical treatment, the accuracy and science of medicaldiagnosis and treatment planning.This paper presents a method. Firstly, a receiving sensor of the magnetic tracker namedWintracker attached to detecting electrode obtains3D location data of the human meridians, atthe same time,another receiver sensor obtains3D location information of the camera. Secondly,the3D coordinates of the human meridians will be merged into the2D image of the actualhuman body surface. In the fusion of the human body meridians and the real-time field images,the first thing is to achieve camera calibration by calling the related function from OpenCV and obtain real-time location information of the camera. Then the3D coordinates of the meridianscan be converted to2D image coordinates with the results of calibration and real-time locationinformation of the camera, thus, the visualization of the human body meridians is implemented.By using the software of Visual C++.Net2005based on Windows, the collection of3Dcoordinates of the human body meridians, the acquisition of human body surface images andreal-time location information of the camera are achieved. Then the projection matrixparameters M are also obtained by processing the above data and the image fusion is realized. Asfor the registration problems of image fusion, this paper mainly uses coordinate transformationto compensate and pays more attention to the effects of lighting, the distortion and position of thecamera and the number of Calibration images.Using the low resistance characteristics of meridian points and the image fusion technology,3D visualization technology is applied to construct a novel representation of the meridian points.It provides more intuitive analysis system for clinical diagnosis treatment and basic education.
