As soon as the software defined radio concept had been proposed, the worldradio domain widespread attention it. It has flexibility and openness characteristics,caused it to obtain the widespread application in the wireless communication.Thesoftware defined radio supposed that design one general, standard, modularhardware platform which can complete each kind of function by the softwareprogramming.This paper first introduced the software radio concept then research on thetheorem and the basic structure of software radio receiver. Has establishedmathematical model based on the wide band medium frequency bandpass sampling,and proposed a experiment platform of software radio based on theFPGA+DSP+ARM architecture. Processing the digitized medium frequency signal isthe key technologies, also it is the key point which this article discussed, This articleanalyzes how to select the ADC component, and designs an A/D chip high speed datagathering module based on ADS5541. Proposed the thought which automatic codeproduct based on the model design, designed and established the digital downconverter’s model by the Simulink tool, This model used the CIC filter, HB filterand FIR filter three level of cascade ways to reduce the sampling rate, and thencarried on the simulation and analysis. Using the Simulink HDL Coder tool togenerate the VHDL code which can be synthesized and the test bench code. Thencarries on the synthesis, And then using the Quartus II9.0tool to synthesis and testthe DDC VHDL code, and using the Modersim6.5tool to simulate and confirmthem; Finally carried on the analysis to the signal processing algorithm of thesoftware radio receive platform.
