Power optimization generally chooses a province or an entire network as the researchtarget. The researches in this thesis choose a city as the target at the first time. For a researchon the power-source optimized development of a city, we need to solve three main issues,including the conflict in the construction condition and development space of different thelocal sources, the balance between external and local power suppliers, the decision on basicprinciples of the power source optimized configuration.This thesis mainly carried on the researches from following several aspects:Firstly, this thesis analyzes the development conditions and development space of thepower sources in Shenzhen. Conditions for the development of different primary energysource in Shenzhen, such as coal, gas, nuclear power resources, water resources, new energyand so on are analyzed. Researches are carried out under the related constraints such asenvironmental capacity, coal terminal, gas supply conditions, sites condition of pumpedstorage etc., and the Shenzhen local power source construction and development space fordifferent types of resources are obtained.Secondly, the basic principles for power source configurations optimization areformulated. This thesis examines the demands of the additional power supply in Shenzhen tothe year2030. Then the power balance, power-spatial analysis and system peak load spaceare analyzed. The outside power sending to Shenzhen, including new HVDC and HVACchannels is studied, as well as the construction scale of local power sources. Then theprinciples for the optimal allocation of Shenzhen power sources under certain conditions aregenerated.The third part is to further optimize the power structure and to determine the reasonablepower connectiong points. The works include optimizing the structure of the power sourcesand determining the proportion of coal, nuclear, gas, renewable energy and outside powerunder certain constraints. Allocation of various types of future power sources and planningtheir reasonable points connecting to the power system are carried out based on factors suchas different voltage level access and the locations of the central loads.Optimization of power sources is an important part of power system planning. It has action and reaction with circumstance of the technology, economy and institution. Differentdevelopment paths will cast different reaults which directly affects generator composition inpower grid for a very long time in the future. The researches in the thesis is carried out alongthe technical routes of investigating and data collecting, situation analyzing, local resourcesanalyzing, local power source development space calculating, supply of outside powerinvestigating, the structure of the power source optimizing.Through the study of this thesise, the government and utilities can determine thedevelopment direction of power resources in Shenzhen in the future, plan the power project,put forward the corresponding demands on the outside power income and coordinate thepower development between Shenzhen and the rest part of Guangdong province.
