Substation is the hub of the grid system. The security of substationoperating environment is directly related to the reliability and stability ofthe entire grid.The existing substation environmental monitoring systemis single and lack of overall information technology management.With thedevelopment of sensor technology, computer network communicationtechnology and intelligent mobile terminal,the substation environmentalmonitoring system that have a overall idea come true.Firstly,the paper build the design scheme of substationenvironmental monitoring system which is based on the analysis ofexisting substation systems. It analyse the natural environment of thesubstation equipment,the working environment and the environment formonitoring. According with those objects,it design the monitoring systemand gives the key reasonable solution of communications technology.Secondly, the paper build remote monitoring principle base onAndroid.It have two parts,one is the PC-based server,another is embeddeddevices.it contrast the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods.Finally,the parper design and complete the system which consists theequipment monitoring system, the natural environment monitoring systemand the access control system. With scheme of B/S for the master server,android devices can access server center directly by the browser.Equipment embedded the Wi-Fi module systems.Android devices canview the information of environment by the communication which is pointto point. It gives the system server software implementation steps,Android client software implementation steps,the debug steps and theimproved methods.The research of environment monitoring system canprovide the better scheme and technology support for the substationautomation system.
